Fact 1: If you removed all the empty space inside atoms, the entire human race could fit into the volume of a sugar cube.

Atom Representation (physics facts)
Atom Representation

99.99999% of an atom is empty space. The dense nucleus is surrounded by a cloud of electrons that is spread comparatively over a vast area. Electrons do not exist at one point. They are scattered over a range of probabilities.

Fact 2. When helium is cooled to almost absolute zero, it becomes a liquid with surprising properties.

When helium is just a few degrees below its boiling point of -452°F, it can suddenly do things that other fluids can’t. It can flow against gravity and start running up and down over the lip of a glass container.

Fact 3. A teaspoon full of neutron star would weigh 6 billion tons.

Physics Fact 3

Neutron stars are created when a massive star runs out of fuel. The massive star explodes in a supernova and its core collapses due to gravity. This creates the neutron star.

Fact 4. Winds have shadows.

We know that we can’t see the wind but only can feel it. This is actually not true because wind can cast shadows. They are just not visible to the naked eyes.

Fact 5. Hot water freezes faster than cold water.

This phenomenon is known as the Mpemba Effect. This is because hot water evaporates faster and it reduces the volume left to freeze.

These are a handful of facts that you probably should know. If you know any other amazing physics facts, then tell us in the comments section. (Part – 2 of physics facts is coming soon!)
